Hutchinson Exports More From the Mersey
Hutchinson Engineering Ltd (HEL) have secured their 5th order from Smulders for the fabrication and supply of 264 Spring Systems forming 88 sets for Anode cage assemblies.
These assemblies will be shipped to Hoboken for incorporation into transition pieces, then deployed to the North Sea in the German Sector off Borwin Economic Zone 2 for developer EnBW Energie Baden – Württemberg AG.
HEL’s continued support of Smulders as a preferred supply chain partner will see them work with Geosea/Deme Group in the German EnBW Hohe See OWF.
This project follows HEL’s supply of landings, ladders and platforms for Dudgeon OWF, J tubes for the Blyth OWF Demonstrators and enabling work on both Beatrice OWF & Aberdeen Bay OWF.
Commenting on the award HEL’s Managing Director Dean Drinkwater stated, “we are delighted with our continued supply chain activities with Smulders …especially with further export work to Europe offering UK content and expertise.”
“This particular fabrication is both complex and challenging in terms of required tolerances and was won with a collaborative proactive approach adopted by both parties from the onset ….. we have a great working relationship with the Smulders team”
HEL’s continued investment in their new Quayside facility ensures they are well placed to fabricate, paint and ship direct from the port of Garston – offering UK content for Round 3 and beyond.
