Hutchinson Appointed by SeAH Wind to Supply Secondary Steel for Hornsea 3

Hutchinson has been appointed as a subcontractor for SeAH Wind, contributing to the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Project. As part of this contract, Hutchinson will supply secondary steel components for the project.

SeAH Wind, responsible for manufacturing the monopile foundations at its 120-acre facility on the South Bank of Teesworks, required a UK-based partner capable of delivering complex steel structures in compliance with Ørsted’s specifications.

This contract marks an important step for Hutchinson, reinforcing our position as a trusted supplier in the offshore wind sector. Our experience in delivering high-quality steel structures for offshore projects played a key role in securing this opportunity.

Steve Adams, Managing Director at Hutchinson, commented:

“We are delighted to have been awarded the Secondary Steel contract by SeAH Wind. This success demonstrates our continued growth and expertise in supplying steel structures to the offshore sector. It also highlights the business gains achieved through the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) business improvement programme.
This is a positive step for the UK, driving further growth and sustainable job opportunities as part of the country’s Energy Security and Net-Zero ambitions.

Hornsea 3 will be located 120km off the Norfolk Coast, producing enough clean energy to power millions of homes. Hutchinson is proud to be part of this project, supporting the UK’s transition to renewable energy while strengthening its offshore wind supply chain.

We look forward to contributing to the successful delivery of this landmark renewable energy project.
