Hutchinson recognises the importance of the climate crisis and strongly believe it’s our duty to make a positive contribution to the UK’s 2050 net zero emissions target. Our Environmental Policy guides all decisions when managing the effect of our business upon the environment.

Hutchinson’s drive towards net zero

Having benchmarked our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions Hutchinson will align to Science Based Targets Initiative by 2026. We have significantly reduced our carbon emissions through our Carbon Reduction Plan targeting the following areas:

  • 100% of electricity procured from renewable sources
  • Solar generation technology powering workshops
  • All company cars are Electric Vehicles or hybrid
  • Reducing business travel by promoting video/audio conferencing
  • Environmental Awareness training for 100% of Employees

Hutchinson will continue to reduce our carbon emissions and offset any we can’t reduce. We will continue to promote environmental awareness throughout our supply chain partners and encourage localisation of the supply chain wherever possible.

Hutchinson is fully committed to sustainability, sourcing 100% of our electricity from renewable resources. This initiative is part of our broader environmental strategy to minimise our carbon footprint and support the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

Hutchinson has taken a comprehensive approach to understanding and managing our environmental impact by benchmarking our Type 1, 2, and 3 emissions. This critical assessment forms the basis of our commitment to align with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) by 2026.
