Manufacturing capabilities

Profiling

Our profiling capability covers carbon-steel, stainless-steel and aluminium and enables laser cutting of plate upto 25mm thick, and plasm / Oxy cutting upto 100mm thick.  Our Ficep Gemini machine also drills and taps holes and adds machined weld preps, supported by our VF9 large capacity VMC.

    Tube Cutting
Our large HGG tube profiling machine can cut box sections up to 400mm2 and tube up to 1200mm in diameter – and its swivel plasma head can cut many kinds of weld preparations.
      CNC

We have our own in-house machining department. Current capability includes HAAS lathes and vertical boring and milling machines.

        Fabrication

With the ability to produce one-off fabrications up to 20t, and serial manufacture of product within specialised Production Cells, our highly trained and skilled operatives use the latest in technology, to the most stringent international quality standards such as BS EN 1090-2 EXC3+, BS EN ISO 3834-2:2005 and BS EN 15085-2:2007.

          Welding
Welding activities are managed by our in-house International Welding Engineer and RWC support team under our BS EN ISO 3834-2 controls. All types of welding such as MIG, MAG and TIG are used on mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel. We also have ESAB column and boom SAW welding machines with a 6m reach, and robotic welding cells providing a 2-ton capacity and a 2600mm travel length.
            Non destructive testing

This is carried out by our in-house CSWIP 3.1 welding inspectors, internal MPI and PT testing teams. Third party independent testing is used as required.

              Plate rolling

Our plate rolling capability can process S355 material up to 40mm in thickness at 3m widths at diameters from 1.2m to 4.3m. We are also able to process 0.6m to 1.2mm diameter up to 10mm thick.

                CNC controlled steel beam drilling
CNC controlled horizontal single spindle drilling line to process flats and sections, processes include drilling, scribing, milling, countersinking and tapping of structural steel beams.
                  Metal finishing
The ROTOFLEX LINE M1350 is a large, flexible metal finishing machine, ideal for deburring, edge shaving, satin finishing, and scale removal on metal sheets.
                    Digital Dimensional Control

Our FARO Vantage Laser Tacker has a measurement range of up to 80 meters and accuracy of up to ± 0.015 mm and is an essential tool for ensuring dimension control of large or assembled product.

Our FARO QUANTUM-e measuring system is used for 3D measurement and inspection, especially suitable for complex parts and shapes in manufacturing. Its key features include non-contact laser probing and enhanced accuracy, making it ideal for quality control when manufacturing complex steel components and structures.

                      CNC hydraulic Press-Brake

Able to process 3m wide sheet up to 10mm thick, our AMADA HFE3i press-brake enables high tolerance and repeatable bending and folding or steel components.
