Apprenticeship Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Metal Fabricator Apprentices. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced fabricators and welders, utilizing cutting-edge machinery and techniques to produce high-quality steel structures. Apprenticeship will start in September 2026.
Key Objectives of the Role:
- Learn and perform MIG welding on steel components.
- Interpret and work from detailed fabrication drawings.
- Utilize hand and air tools effectively and safely.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

- Initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Minimum 3 GCSE’s Grades 4 and above including Maths and English
- Additional engineering training is an advantage but not essential: NVQ level 2 in engineering or Level 3 Extended Diploma in Professional Engineering or T-Levels in engineering.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Flat hours Monday – Thursday 7.00am – 3.30 pm, Friday 7.00am – 1.30pm, 38 hour week
- Overtime when available
Salary:
- Year 1 – £8.69 *38= £330.22 (Annually £17,171)
- Year 2 – £11.25 *38=£427.50 (Annually £22,230)
- Year 3 – £14.57 *38=£553.66 (Annually £28,790)
- Year 4 – £17.54 *38= £666.52 (Annually £34,659)
Progression to each yearly pay rate is subject to satisfactory
performance review, meeting behavioural expectations, and achieving
the required competency levels.
