Yard Operative
Location: Widnes, Cheshire
Salary:
£12.51 per hour
£17.52 Overtime A
£22.52 Overtime B
Average Annual Salary £25,000.
Average Annual Overtime 10 hours pw
Hours: 8 hour shift
Flat hours Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.30 pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.30pm 38 hour week
Overtime, currently 10 hours PW and increasing
Closing date: 1st June 2025
Holidays: 25 days, plus Public Holidays.

Purpose of Role
To assist in the operation of our busy Yard, ensuring the flow of materials, goods inward and dispatches are controlled efficiently.
Key Objectives of the Role:
- Loading and unloading wagons
- Building of general steelwork
- Packing kits for dispatch
- FLT license is essential
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Full time position

Additional Role Information:
Drug and Alcohol policy including testing.
Full driving license is beneficial.
